Delicious Sides for a Summer Gathering
We spent Independence Day eating good food with good friends. It was surprisingly a very mild 4th here in Georgia, with a high of only 82 and very low humidity! It was quite a blessing from the Lord and it made an outdoor dinner even more wonderful!
We (and by we, I mean our husbands) threw meat on a grill and had some DELICIOUS side dishes that I wanted to share with you! The 4th may have already passed, but these are great to have for any summer gathering!
Watermelon Cucumber Salad: I made this and used fresh basil from the shop garden at the Hackett I work it. This dish is so easy to through together and it’s so refreshing! I honestly love anything with feta in it so this was a win in my book.
Peach Bourbon Baked Beans: Y'ALL. My friend Gracee made this recipe and I kid you not...I went to bed thinking about this dish that night. I’ve thought about every day since. I already really liked baked beans, but this is a whole other level of AMAZING. Just trust me — you have to try it. I’m already trying to plan when I can make it myself.
Red, White & Blue Charcuterie board: Gracee also put this together! She said she just went through store and grabbed all things red, white and blue! We had...
RED / grape tomatoes, raspberries, red bell pepper
WHITE / triple cream brie, chardonnay bella vatino, yogurt covered raisins
BLUE / blueberries, blackberries

We also had your classic corn on the cob, veggies with dip and a berry pie + s'mores for dessert!
Comment below and tell me one of your favorite summer side dishes!
